Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) is a modern construction technique that uses polystyrene foam blocks to create a formwork for concrete. The blocks are stacked, reinforced with steel rebar, and then filled with concrete to create a solid and energy-efficient wall. ICF construction is becoming increasingly popular due to its numerous benefits, such as excellent insulation, durability, and strength.

At Forge Built, we specialize in ICF construction and have extensive experience in building ICF structures for residential and commercial projects. We understand that every project is unique, which is why we offer customized solutions tailored to our clients' specific needs and preferences.

In addition to ICF construction, we also offer ICF pool construction services, providing a durable and energy-efficient alternative to traditional pool construction methods. Our team can also work with clients to create custom ICF projects.

ICF Pools

Our team of experts has years of experience in constructing ICF pools, which offer numerous benefits over traditional pool construction methods.

ICF pools are constructed using insulated concrete forms that provide a superior level of insulation, ensuring that the water stays at a comfortable temperature even in the hottest months. This means that you'll save money on heating costs and enjoy a longer swimming season.

In addition to their energy efficiency, ICF pools are also incredibly durable and require less maintenance than traditional pools. The insulated concrete forms used in ICF pool construction are resistant to cracking and damage from extreme weather conditions, making them a great long-term investment. Plus, their low maintenance needs mean that you'll spend less time and money on upkeep and more time enjoying your pool with family and friends.

Overall, an ICF pool is a smart investment that will provide you with a beautiful, energy-efficient, and low-maintenance pool that you can enjoy for years to come. From initial design to final installation, we'll ensure that your ICF pool is constructed with the highest level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Custom ICF

With custom ICF construction, you can design a space that is tailored to your specific needs and preferences, whether you're building a new home or renovating an existing one.

Another benefit of custom ICF construction is its exceptional durability. ICF walls are highly resistant to moisture, mold, and pests, which can help to prevent costly and time-consuming repairs. Furthermore, ICF structures are highly resistant to natural disasters such as hurricanes and earthquakes, offering homeowners peace of mind knowing their home is built to withstand extreme weather conditions.

While ICF construction offers many advantages, it's important to consider some potential drawbacks as well. ICF construction can be more expensive than traditional construction methods, and it requires specialized expertise to ensure proper installation.

Additionally, ICF construction can limit design flexibility, as the foam panels used in construction are only available in certain sizes and shapes. However, with the help of experienced ICF contractors like those at Forge Built, these potential drawbacks can be minimized, and the benefits of ICF construction can be fully realized.

Project Highlight

Bank Barn Foundation

At Forge Built, we recently took on a unique project involving a bank barn located in a rural area. The barn needed a new foundation, and the client requested an Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) foundation, which is known for its durability, energy efficiency, and environmentally-friendly nature.

The challenge was that the existing foundation needed to be removed, and the new ICF foundation needed to be installed in its place without damaging the barn. We came up with an innovative solution: using a crane to lift the entire house off of its existing foundation, build the ICF foundation, and then reset the house back onto the new foundation.

Our team worked closely with the crane operator and other contractors to ensure the lifting and resetting process was done safely and efficiently. The ICF foundation was then constructed using our expertise in custom ICF construction, ensuring that the client's new foundation met the highest quality standards.

The end result was a successful project that not only gave the barn a new and durable foundation but also increased its energy efficiency and value. The client was thrilled with the final outcome and our team was proud to have completed such a challenging and rewarding project.
